Students of SHM have received several prestigious awards at state and national level competition and fest over the past years.
For the first time in Orissa, SHM organized a state level vegetable and fruit carving festival called as “Akruti 2009” where various other hotel management colleges and professional hoteliers participated and Mr. Satya Priya Behera won the first prize in the student’s category.
Two students of the BHMCT 2006-2010 batch Mr. Asif Hussain and Ms.Priyanka Marwahhad won the first prize at the prestigious Banarasidas Chandiwala Chef competition held at the National Capital NewDelhi in the year 2006.
The cricket team of SHM has won the University Cup Cricket Tournament in the year 2008-09 by out-shadowing other teams of the SOA University.
Time and again the students of SHM have proved their mettle at various levels of competitions across the state and national level and have earned respect.
Starting from academics to sports fields and cultural programs to extracurricular programs our students have proved that they are the best in business and are thorough professionals in their respective fields.
Apart from academics, we have been organizing and participating in various events since the inception of this college such as the Tosahli festival, Ekamra festival, the Mexican food festival etc. and the student’s of this Institute have always played a greater role in these events by showing their multitasking skills.
Recently one of the famous and leading hotel chains, the ITC Maurya Sheratonhas come to the city of Bhubaneswar, for ODC (Out door Catering) and they had tied up with the SHM for Infrastructure as well as man power support. And they are such a satisfied client now with the enthusiasm and ability of the students of SHM that again they have committed to come to the city and take the help of our students.
